3rd Annual Daniel Boone Days Music & Culture Festival Cancelled

Dear fans,

Live music will echo through Horn in the West once again.

But not during the 3rd annual Daniel Boone Days Music & Culture Festival in 2010.

After long debate and much reluctance, Mountain Fountain Productions (Sam Calhoun) and High Country Press (Ken Ketchie and Sam Calhoun) have made the decision to cancel the 3rd annual event, planned for September 4 at Horn in the West. As we all know, it’s been a tough year, to say the least, and we have too much respect for the festival, fans, performers and supporters than to put on the event using the little time and resources we currently have at our disposal. Besides, it’s going to rain that day…

That being said, we know with Daniel Boone Days that we have created something special, something needed in the High Country and something that has plentiful potential in the future. We hope you’ll look out for Daniel Boone Days in 2011 and, in the meantime, support Horn in the West and read High Country Press and High Country Magazine.

Thanks for a wonderful ride; here’s to the future of live music in Boone!
